Service Pack 9 Readies for its Debut

(Members Only Software, Inc.)
For
the last few months we've had a few users up
and running on Members Only service pack
9. It's looking good and within the next
month we plan to start rolling it out to all of
our users. Here's a taste of some of the the
goodies you can expect in the next few
weeks.
Improved HTML Email
Editor.
The Members
Only email blast now sports a greatly enhanced
wysiwyg HTMLeditor. Just one of its smart
features: when you insert a picture from your
local computer into an HMTL email, it is automatically
uploaded to your web server to be linked
to your outgoing mail. And like always, it
supports complete personalization and database
merge into your emails.
Enhanced
Grids:
Lots of times the best way to
look at your information is in grids or tables.
That's why Excel is so indispensible. The grid
displays in Members Only have taken a great
leap forward in this service pack. Now you have
the option to turn on or off multi-line display
in any grid, sort a grid on more than one
column, and perform a text search within the
grid. You can instantly copy any grid
from Members Only into Excel, and you can tell
it to drag along other fields from that table
that were not even shown on the Members Only
page!
Workflow Templates
Many of our
users rely on the Members Only Tickler system
to track tasks related to their Members,
Donors, or Events. Now you can use these
ticklers for more than simple to-do items.
Starting in SP9 you can create task templates
for repeated multi-step tasks such as preparing
for a board meeting. The use of templates
allows you to insert an entire set of related
tickler items with a few clicks.
Business Rule
Management for Web
Registration
Organizations rely more
and more on online registration for their
meetings. But all meetings are not alike. So
our API for putting these meetings on the web
has had to include more switches to manage the
individual business rules for each meeting. The
Web Configuration page allows you to set
various options that are used to control how
the meeting appears on the web and what choices
are available to the registrant on the site.
