It's an old routine -- you post a story on your site, and then you ready a coordinated email campaign to push the same information out to your community. Now there is no need to create an email campaign to push a press release of a news story out to your members, donors, and supporters. The OS/MOsys NewsMailer makes sure your community knows about the content they rely on you to provide the minute you post it. And by putting it right into their inbox, it's more immediate than letting them subscribe to an RSS feed and hoping they check it regularly.

How does it work?
The OS/MOsys NewsMailer lets you flag each story with topic tags as you post it to the site. Your constituents can subscribe to as many of these topics as they wish, right on their profile page on the site. When the story is posted, an email is sent to the subscribers to each relevant topic. The email contains a short summary blurb, and a link pulling the reader back to the entire article on your site. The NewsMailer tracks all click-thrus back to the article -- you can view these stats in the website or through Members Only.

What's best is that the whole thing is completely effortless -- all you need to do is flag the news story with topics as you add it to the site. The actual extraction of the list and the sending of the email are completely automatic!
