Pervasive
SQL is a powerful client/server relational
database engine that provides programmers the
speed and control of a transactional database,
and end users with an ODBC and SQL compatible
database that can be queried by countless
standard tools. We've been able to build a
powerful object-oriented interface to Pervasive
without obstructing relational access from
other front end tools. We've chosen Pervasive
SQL over other SQL server engines because
of:
- Performance: Pervasive SQL's "Best of Both Worlds" architecture lets programmers use transactional or SQL processing as is most appropriate in each instance, to improve database performance
- Low Maintenance: Compared to other SQL servers, Pervasive requires very little ongoing maintenance by the database administrator
