The development team at Members Only
Software is is getting Service Pack 10 ready -
and it will be one of the biggest updates of
our Windows-based software yet. We've
borrowed extensively from design ideas we put
together for our not-yet-released web-based
version. So SP10 makes use of document-like
HTML-based Profiles for most of the
principal displays, provides home pages for
each module, and links with a number of
popular web-based services to enhance the value
of your data.
The Profiles
provide a much more easily comprehensible view
of the information you have on file. For all
those times when a user has no intention (or no
rights!) to update the data, but just wants to
look up a supporter or an event, these profiles
are a much friendlier and easier-to-digest
format than the data entry pages you are used
to seeing. What's even nicer, each user can
select whether the traditional view or the
Profile view of the data is their
default.
It's even more configurable
than that: the look and feel of these forms is
under your control. You can select among skins
we've designed, or create your own graphic
look. What's more, each individual user can
choose which information sections to display,
and in what order, to make these Profiles most
useful to them.
Among the other goodies
are one we think your users will really like: a
button next to each address allows you to
immediately view a Google map of that
location. Making member visits has never
been easier!
SP10 will be rolling out
just in time for the holidays!
